The Most Epic Tasting EVER at Juno’s Liquor

June 20th Tasting at Juno’s Liquor – Las Colinas

Saturday, June 20th from 2:30 to 6:30, we’re pouring six of the most chased‑down bottles in American whiskey. Each one earns its “allocated” status the hard way — limited production, long aging, and demand that always outpaces supply. You do NOT want to miss this tasting.

We have one bottle of each for you to taste. Here’s what makes them special:

Blanton’s Original Single Barrel

The world’s first single‑barrel bourbon, hand‑dumped one barrel at a time at Buffalo Trace. Every barrel tastes slightly different, which is why collectors obsess over it. Honey, citrus, vanilla, and that signature Blanton’s polish. Why it’s allocated: Single barrel = tiny batches. Global demand = insane.

Elijah Craig 15 Year Single Barrel

Heaven Hill releases very few 15‑year single barrels — the longer a bourbon ages, the fewer barrels survive without becoming over‑oaked. This one hits the sweet spot: deep caramel, toasted oak, and dark fruit. Why it’s allocated: Very few barrels make it to 15 years with the right flavor profile.

Weller Special Reserve (Wheated Bourbon)

Come meet our Instagram‑famous whiskey whisperer

The entry point to the Weller line, but still one of the most hunted wheated bourbons on the market. Soft, sweet, and easy drinking — the same mashbill family as Pappy. Why it’s allocated: Wheated bourbon ages slower and yields less, and demand is sky‑high.

Eagle Rare 10 Year

A decade in the barrel gives Eagle Rare its signature toffee, orange peel, and oak profile. One of the best‑value 10‑year bourbons ever made — which is exactly why it never sits on shelves. Why it’s allocated: True 10‑year age statements require long planning and limited stock.

Meet our line-up

Sazerac Rye (125 Proof)

A bold, high‑proof rye built for people who like spice, structure, and heat. This is the backbone of classic New Orleans cocktail culture — but at 125 proof, it’s a whole different animal. Why it’s allocated: High‑proof rye is produced in small batches, and demand far exceeds supply.

E.H. Taylor Small Batch (Bottled in Bond)

Made under strict Bottled‑in‑Bond standards and named after the father of modern bourbon. Rich caramel, baking spice, and a clean, structured finish. Always a crowd favorite. Why it’s allocated: Limited bonded production + massive brand loyalty.

Traveller Add‑Ons for This Event

We’re fortunate to be working with Ian, our rep at Andrews & Glazer’s, and he’s bringing two Traveller bottles to top off the event. Here’s what we’re adding:

Traveller Blended Whiskey

Buffalo Trace’s Traveller Blended Whiskey is a smooth, easy‑drinking blend built from more than 50 trial recipes, ultimately landing on Blend No. 40. Expect notes of vanilla, aged fruit, buttery shortbread, caramel, and a touch of oak. Bottled at 90 proof, it was crafted with Chris Stapleton to be approachable, balanced, and versatile.

Traveller Full Proof

The Full Proof expression cranks things up to a bold 121–124 proof, delivering a richer, more intense profile with amplified caramelized sugar, toasted oak, warm baking spice, vanilla, and dark fruit. It offers deeper flavor and a longer finish while keeping the blend’s signature smoothness.
