Texas Independence Day: A Toast to the Spirit of Texas
All our Texas made spirits are marked with a Made in Texas tag.
Every year on March 2, Texans celebrate Texas Independence Day—a moment that honors the grit, pride, and independent spirit that makes Texas unlike anywhere else. It’s more than a history lesson; it’s a reminder of who we are and how we do things here: bold, confident, and our own way.
Although the declaration was signed on March 2, 1836, it wasn’t actually realized until the massive losses at the Battle of the Alamo and the Goliad Massacre that galvanized resistance rather than ending it. Then on April 21, 1836, forces led by Sam Houston defeated Santa Anna’s army at the Battle of San Jacinto where he agreed to Texas’ independence.
At Juno’s Liquor, Texas Independence Day means raising a glass to the people, places, and flavors that define the Lone Star State.
A Texas Story, Poured One Glass at a Time
Texas has always marched to its own beat, and that mindset shows up clearly in our alcohol culture. From legendary bourbon and rye to smooth vodkas, handcrafted gins, and award-winning wines, Texas producers are proving that world-class spirits don’t have to come from anywhere else.
We’re proud to stock and support Texas-made brands that reflect the same values we believe in:
Independence
Craftsmanship
Quality without compromise
When you shop at Juno’s, you’re not just buying a bottle—you’re supporting Texas distillers, winemakers, and brewers who put their name, pride, and reputation into every pour.
How Texans Celebrate
Texas Independence Day doesn’t require fireworks or formality. Sometimes it’s as simple as:
Grilling with friends and family
Sharing a good bottle at home
Trying a new Texas-made spirit for the first time
Whether you’re sipping a bold Texas bourbon, mixing up a ranch-ready cocktail, or pouring a glass of Texas wine, the best way to celebrate is together.
Our Journey Is Texas, Just Like Yours
Juno’s Liquor was built for Texans who appreciate good drinks without the pretense. We’re here to help you discover something new, find a trusted favorite, or get recommendations that actually fit your taste—not just trends.
